Utah Educational Savings Plan

The Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) is Utah’s 529 college savings program. It’s a simple, sound plan to stretch you or your child’s educational dollars and provide some wonderful tax incentives.

Saving with UESP offers several advantages to Utah taxpayers and/or residents. Funds in your UESP account can be used for expenses like tuition, fees, books, and certain room and board expenses at any eligible educational institution that accepts federal financial aid anywhere in the country or abroad-not just in Utah! Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov for a list of eligible schools.

Earlier this year, UESP reached more than $4 billion in assets as families continue to make a commitment to save for the future higher education expenses of their loved ones. It’s true that a small commitment today to save for the future college costs of a child can make a big impact if that child attains a college degree.
