Today is a special day (tax day) and deserves a special spotlight!The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) provides America’s taxpayers top quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and enforce the tax law with integrity and fairness to all. To meet the needs of it’s customers, the IRS created a Financial Education and Asset Building strategy to help people develop knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions. Offering programs and services including free tax preparation, tips for avoiding identity theft, resources for parents to teach kids about money, and a wide variety of general tax tips and tools, the IRS is collaborating with community partners and committed to assisting low- to moderate-income taxpayers.
